Located on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, the lovely Alderbrook Resort and Spa offers a beautifully peaceful view and setting and seems to have something for everyone. One of the many unique, interactive activities hosted by the Resort is a weekly hike along the resort's forested trails to forage for fiddleheads, mushrooms and nettles and then return to the "Chef's Table" cooking demonstration experience that takes place in the lobby. Alderbrook seems to be all about local, which I love.
